PAID FEATURE FILM SHOOTING in NYC – SUMMER 2026
DETAILS:
Jones & Juliet Casting is searching for NYC based kids, teenagers & young adults (ages 8-26) to appear in a feature film set at a NYC school. No acting experience is necessary.
From slam poets to ball players and step dancers, to the first-Gen kids who are carving their own future through the city’s obstacles and teens who grew up in NYC and are focused on their academic future – we want true NYC energy – authentic, and diverse in every way.
CREATIVE TEAM: Emmy-nominated director/producer John Coles (House of Cards, The Sinner, Law & Order) and writer Elia Monte-Brown (NYU Tisch)
PAY & SHOOT DATES:
Filming in NYC – LATE FALL 2026. Selected participants may be needed anywhere from 1 day to 4 weeks, depending on role size and availability.
PAY: $1,514/week or $436/day for speaking roles, depending on role.
**This project is on a SAG-AFTRA MLB contract – you do not have to be in SAG-AFTRA to apply. The pay rate is based on union minimums, more info here.**
**There will also be a separate workshop of the film in late July. This is a developmental workshop for a feature film script. Director John David Coles will be working with young Actors who will be using text, acting exercises and Movement Coordinators to workshop the script. It will all be filmed documentary style.**
ROLES WE ARE CASTING:
NYC STUDENTS & YOUNG ADULTS (to play ages 10-26): Open to non-actors and actors based in and around the NY area. Both ENL speakers and native English speakers are encouraged to apply. We will be casting a large number of supporting speaking roles from this group. NO ACTING EXPERIENCE NEEDED!

KYLE to play 15-18, all ethnicities, He is bouncy, smart, full of energy, mischievous. A great friend. Loves to play basketball with his friends. Knows how to have fun.
DIANDRA, to play 15-18, all ethnicities. Diandra has a big personality and takes up space in every way. She loves slam poetry; sharp with her words, highly intelligent, funny.
